1. Scope
This policy covers cookies and similar technologies used by the RegInspect app and public website. Local storage, session storage and IndexedDB can also store information on a device. Whether consent is needed depends on their purpose, not their name.
2. Necessary functions
Authentication and security services use session-related cookies and storage to sign you in, protect requests and maintain access. Keycloak cookie names and lifetime depend on the configured identity service; they are not advertising cookies. Blocking these mechanisms can prevent sign-in or secure use.
The app uses browser storage for the consent choice, requested interface functions and account-scoped local state. Some local records may remain until cleared or recovered. Clearing site data can remove preferences and locally held work; reconcile pending work first.
3. Preference record
The app stores its cookie choice under reginspect_cookie_preferences in local storage and treats that choice as valid for 12 months. Necessary functions stay enabled. Where you are signed in, the service can also record the preference for accountability. This record is different from consent to process client compliance data.
4. Optional monitoring
When enabled in the deployed service, New Relic browser monitoring is gated by the analytics preference. Its purpose is to understand browser performance and failures. Refusing analytics does not prevent access to the core service. There is no Google Analytics or Firebase browser tracking in the current application configuration.
The marketing theme uses locally hosted fonts and assets and does not itself install advertising or behavioural analytics. Hosting, WordPress administration, identity and payment pages can have their own necessary storage. Visiting an external provider is subject to that provider’s notice.
5. Changing your choice
Use Cookie Preferences in the app footer to accept or reject optional categories. You can return to the preference controls at any time. Browser settings also allow inspection, blocking and removal of cookies and other site data. A change applies to the browser and site where it is made, not automatically to every device or provider.
Consent withdrawal stops future optional monitoring; it cannot recall data already transmitted. Browser-managed data may also need removal through browser settings. Essential security and service logs are handled under the Privacy Policy.
6. Contact and changes
Contact us if storage is unclear or an optional service appears to run contrary to your choice. We review this policy when the deployed technologies change. The revision date below is fixed; it is not generated anew on each visit.
